The Model #56 is a very successful machine. It is in use world-wide on almost all types of cable except
spiral wrapped metal armor. It will handle lead, covered power, and telephone cable, "alpeth", "stalpeth",
plastic, , paper, rubber, asbestos, etc., covered cables. It makes two slits in the sheathing parallel and tangent
to the conductors. This method of slitting cable opens it up so that less hand work is required than with
many other machines.
